The Crystal Cup is excited to announce that local hockey great Gerard Dicaire and Canucks alumni Dave Babych will be joing our event!!! Gerard Dicaire will be joining us this year for the Saturday morning ceremonial puck drop and kids tourney!!! Dicaire, drafted by Buffalo Sabres in 2000 went on to be part of the Stanley Cup celebration for The Tampa Bay Lighting while a member there in 2004. Dicaire retired to Fort St. John in 2006 and went on to play in the Allan Cup in which The Flyers won in 2010. In addition to Gerard, we would like to welcome back the nicest guy we know and arguably the best moustache to ever enter the NHL, Dave Babych!!!!! That's right, our good friend Dave is once again joining us but this time for the ENTIRE WEEKEND. Catch Dave as he hangs with The Mr. Mike's Crew Friday and Saturday night in the gardens and Saturday for the ceremonial puck drop and Kid's Tourney. Two lucky kids will also have the chance of winning a helicopter ride with Dave shortly after the kid's tourney. Keep it locked on our Facebook page, Twitter feed and website for further details!!!
The Crystal Cup Gardens are proud to present none other than local bands Road Worn and The Montney Coulees Band!!! Road Worn will be playing Friday night at 7pm while The Coulees Saturday night at 7pm. Gonna be a hoot, come on down and check out some excellent live local music on 2 feet of ice!!!
It is with our pleasure to announce that we will be joined by none other than Red Bull Crashed Ice Chanpion Adam Horst for our ceremonial puck drop at 10am Saturday morning. Adam will also be joining us as our guest appearence for our social night Saturday night and plans to bring some of his winning hardware.
